History
Developing good ideas into innovative products. That is in short the success behind Spinder Design.
More than 50 years ago, the foundation of the company was laid by a creative solution to a problem in the agricultural sector: chickens that were together in large numbers threatened to peck each other's eyes out. The Spinder brothers came up with an equally creative and practical solution: "chicken goggles".
Curious how this worked? Watch the video here.
ROCK-SOLID SOLUTIONS
This functional solution of bendable metal was a first step towards the success of Spinder Design, which reached far beyond the country's borders.
With this story, our experience with (bendable) metal started to grow. In the 60s, the need for iron furniture arose and the company responded wisely. This is how Spimeta (Spinder Metal) and the sale of steel kitchen and camping furniture started. In the early 70s, the company was sold and the Spinder brothers each went their own way, one continuing with dairy housing solutions and the other in the furniture business.
Nowadays, we work with completely different products than the chicken goggles. However, the basis that was once laid is still present: metal plays an important role in all our products.
And after 50 years, we still have the same mission in mind: to make life more beautiful, easier and more sustainable with functional solutions made of strong steel.
MARKET LEADER IN COAT RACKS & MORE
For more than 50 years, Spinder Design is strong in steel. Through our experience with this durable material, we can say that we are a proud market leader in the field of smart, contemporary coat racks and other hall furniture, made of steel. Our goal is to increase the comfort of our customers' lives. Every day again.
SUSTAINABLE GROWTH
Spinder Design has been around for half a century already. We weren’t born yesterday. We too see how unfriendly consumption harms our environment. That is why, as we grow, we consider the effects this growth has on the planet. In addition to sustainable steel as a basic component, we work with reusable raw materials of the highest possible quality only. Our steel and wood masters give these materials the best finish to ensure that our products can be used for a lifetime.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Spinder Design continues to innovate and grow. Together with talented designers, we create functional solutions with a contemporary, unique, and recognizable touch. The reusable raw materials are supplied by carefully selected European partners, with Spinder Design retaining control over both the production process and working conditions. This is how we contribute to a fair, honest and happy future for people in and outside the Netherlands.
